Manchester City are again without Sergio Aguero for tonight’s derby clash with Manchester United.
Aguero made his return from injury as a substitute in the Champions League win over Marseille in midweek, but Pep Guardiola insisted afterwards that he would not be rushing the Argentine straight back into the action from the off and has been excluded from the squad.
"His instinct to score will always be there. He's had three or four training sessions and the reaction was good,” Guardiola said. “He had 25 minutes and scored a goal. Step by step.”
With City already through to knockout stage of the Champions League as group winners, Guardiola had the luxury of resting many of his star names for the dead rubber against Marseille.
It means the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Rodri, Ruben Dias, Ederson and Benjamin Mendy had the night off.
Ilkay Gundogan was taken off at half-time as a precaution but is fit enough for the bench.
Man Utd: De Gea, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood
Subs: Bailly, Mata, Martial, Henderson, Alex Telles, Matic, Van de Beek
Man City: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo, Rodri, Fernandinho, Mahrez, De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus
