Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola and his father Alf Inge Haaland will travel to London tomorrow to hold meetings with four Premier League teams, reports Pepe Gil-Vernet of Mundo Deportivo.
The pair will meet with executives of the clubs in order to find out their intentions with the Borussia Dortmund striker who has launched himself to the top of transfer lists for clubs all around Europe. Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all said to have scheduled meetings with Haaland’s representatives.
Recent reports have stated that the Etihad club could be the frontrunners in the chase to sign the Norwegian - with the player's father’s history of playing at Maine Road aiding in that process.
It is likely a bidding war could ensue once a formal price tag is set by Borussia Dortmund, who should be eager to sell their star man before his release clause of reported €75 million kicks in. The German club feel they could get nearly double, or more, for Haaland this summer.
And while a fee of that size could be hard to swallow for some clubs in the Coronavirus hit football market, Premier League striker Charlie Austin feels that Haaland could live up to such a high price tag.
In talking on TalkSport, Austin had this to say on the Norwegian's future prospects:
“His dad has said he’s basically designed to play in the Premier League… if he does come to the Premier League it’s going to be an exciting eight to ten years of him destroying it, basically.”
