The Sun have reported that Man United’s hopes of signing Harry Kane this summer are now over after the managers of the two clubs exchanged in a ‘bitter row’ this week.
Spurs and United went head to head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the weekend, with the Red Devils coming out 3-1 winners.
However, it was a goal that never stood that stole the headlines in North London, after Edinson Cavani’s finish was ruled out due to a foul on Heung-min Son in the build-up.
The replays showed that a flailing hand from Scott McTominay caught the South Korean in the face, with Son hitting the deck and staying down.
After the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hit out at Son for making the most of the contact, while Jose Mourinho was far from impressed with the Man United boss’ comments (Guardian).
The Sun now claim that this argument has ‘killed off’ any chances of the two clubs doing business over Harry Kane this summer.
