Wilfred Ndidi tussles with Paul Pogba during Leicester City's 2-2 draw with Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day

Ndidi has been linked with Man United but is set to go up against them for Leicester at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Tuesday evening

Wilfred Ndidi has reminded Manchester United why Leicester City should not be underestimated at Old Trafford this evening.

Leicester visit United in a crunch Premier League clash (6pm kick-off) as they bid to bolster their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

City are currently fourth, five points clear of fifth-placed West Ham and six ahead of Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Brendan Rodgers side have been in the top four virtually the whole campaign, though the same could be said for last season, when they slipped out and finished fifth on the final day.

Friday's shock 4-2 home defeat to Newcastle, which followed a frustrating 1-1 draw with 10-man Southampton, have put Leicester under pressure, particular as they end the season against second-placed United, third-placed Chelsea and seventh-placed Tottenham.

However, the Foxes did knock United out of the FA Cup when they last met, courtesy of a 3-1 quarter-final victory at the King Power Stadium.

And they have a fine away record in the league this term, winning 10 matches and losing only twice.

"It’s one of those games," Ndidi told LCFC TV. "We have to try and do our best to get something out of it. We’ve got three games left, so it’s that part of the season where every point is really important.

"It’s a tough game. Obviously, the last time we met, we knocked them out of the FA Cup, but it’s going to be a difficult game. We’ll look forward to it and see what comes out of it.

"They’re a really good team, a really strong side. The players they have are top quality.

"They’ve really done well in the league and the Europa League. They will also want to finish as high as possible, which is how every team wants to finish the season.

"It’s something that means we have to go there, see what comes out of it, and we’ll give everything."

Midfield ace Ndidi, who has been linked with the Red Devils amid speculation over the future of Paul Pogba, added: "In the Premier League, it doesn’t matter if you’re playing Manchester United or another team, you’re just going for the points.

"We’ve been on a fantastic run away from home.

"We’ve had some ups and downs and some games where we should have got more points, but we’re looking forward to this one and we’ll be trying as much as we can to get points.

"We’re in the last part of the season so every point is very important for us."
