You had to feel sorry for interim Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ryan Mason, for he was always going to face a grilling at his final pre-match press conference of the season regarding Harry Kane’s intentions.
In fairness to Mason, he managed to bat away most of the questions with a degree of tact, though one answer gave a hint that, perhaps, the club are already planning for life without their talisman.
It related to a question on the news that Kane would love to play alongside Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne, which has been interpreted as a ‘come and get me’ plea.
